I’m
one of those weird people who enjoys lying down under a tree and listening to
the wind blow through the leaves. There’s something that speaks to me on a
primal level when I escape from technology and the indoors, and I just fall
back into the nature that we forget about so often.
Call
it what you will (my preferred term is reflection),
but I need time to clear my head from the stress and worry of daily life.
Thirty minutes beneath a tree leaves me feeling more refreshed than any
eight-hour period on a manmade bed. This is when I feel that I allow God to truly
speak to me.
Give
it a try sometime. You never know what will occur to you with time spent in
reflection, in the peace and quiet of nature.
